It was only five snaps but the implication of Tua Tagovailoa taking his first snaps in the NFL loom large. The Miami Dolphins drafted Tagovailoa with the No. 5 overall pick in this past years NFL Draft. Tagovailoa was put into the final Dolphins drive on Sunday against the New York Jets in a 24-0 blowout of Gang Green for his first NFL action.

His drive only lasted 5 plays but produced 19-yards and the final first down needed to end the game in the Dolphins favor. Tagovailoa completed both of his passing attempts for a total of nine yards passing while looking comfortable in his limited action.

The Hawaiian Prince had no greater cheerleader on the Dolphins sideline than starting quarterback, Ryan Fitzpatrick. Fitzpatrick could be seen cheering on his backup as he entered his first NFL game.

The Miami Dolphins are 3-3 on this young season and all signs point to Fitzpatrick continuing to start for the South Florida franchise, however it is exciting to see the former Alabama quarterback succeed in his first career action.

The rookie was filled with emotion and opted to Facetime with his parents after the game in Hard Rock Stadium on the yardline of where his first NFL drive ended.

Tagovailoa seeing action leaves only Green Bay's Jordan Love as the only first-round quarterback to not see time so far this season.

Miami is looking to continue to build around Tagovailoa and use him when they have more talent in place around him.
