A 2-year-old has died after a freak accident in a Birmingham, Alabama, hotel room.

Kiere DeAndre Jaden Daniels Jr, of Canton, Michigan, died after a freak accident inside a room at the Hampton Inn.

Investigating Birmingham, Alabama police report the 2-year-old child died after “he became entangled in a window blind cord inside the Hampton Inn hotel room”.

There have been no other reports of children dying in the hotel chain’s rooms after becoming entangled in a window blind cord.

The child passed away after being taken to Alabama Children’s Hospital in Birmingham.
