The weekdays immediately preceding Thanksgiving have significantly more car crashes. The time change, collisions with deer, & alcohol are all a factor according to AAA. Seatbelt use is also lower during Thanksgiving week.

Most crashes happen within 25 miles of our house according to State Troopers.

The safest travel day is Thanksgiving day with fewer people on the road. Sunday sees an uptick in accidents with crowded roads.

AAA says expect the busiest roads since 2007.
