The Tuscaloosa County High School choir made a quick day trip to Truist Park in Atlanta this week.

They didn't travel three hours just to catch a baseball game, though; the singers were given the opportunity to perform the national anthem just after first pitch Thursday. The Braves were set to play the Toronto Blue Jays at home.

The school published a video of the performance on its Facebook page. Around 150 students, dressed in TCHS gear, lined up behind the infield to sing "The Star-Spangled Banner."

Upon completion of the song, Truist Park erupted in cheers for the young singers. Afterward, the group attended the game against the Blue Jays.

"Mrs. Coleman and Mr. Copeland run a world class choral program!" the post read. "We have the most talented students!"

Ginny Coleman and Carlton Copeland co-direct the program. TCHS has seven core choral groups in its music department: Men’s Choir, Women’s Choir, Concert Choir, Mixed Choir, TC Singers, Wildcat Choir and Show Choir.
