Local Food

I love finding places in Tuscaloosa/West Alabama that carry products you can't find in any other store. I have found so many cool things here, and you simply can not buy them at most retailers. I could spend hours in this place just browsing. It's mainly for restaurant owners but the general public is welcome to shop there as well.

GET READY, ALABAMA As heard on the Steve & DC Show, 95.3 The Bear....did you know there can be 450 insect parts and nine rodent hairs in every 16 oz. box of spaghetti? They claim that it's not possible to remove all creatures that might get a ride along the food processing chain, but the US Food and Drug Administration calls them "food defects" and has "standards" to keep them to a minimum.

I bet you wonder which restaurant, huh? Before I reveal the offending, horrible place, I am very fair. The other issue, is that the place has two Tuscaloosa locations. One, I have never been inside. I gave the other location a few chances. I'm convinced after talking to several other Tuscaloosa natives, there is no hope.

Tuscaloosa will soon have a new gathering spot for people of all ages to enjoy food and entertainment as the opening of The Venue Tuscaloosa draws near.
