Flashback Friday

This week we travel back a little farther than usual. Operator, please connect me to 1982. The Year the world was introduced to E.T. and Micheal Jackson released "Thriller". Today's song was the artist second and final #1 song.

Today we go back to 1993. (The year I graduated High School) Tracey Lawrence released his second studio album that year to follow up his successful debut album "Sticks and Stones". 1993's "Alibis" produced 4 number 1 songs, including today's flashback Friday Song of the day!

The Kentucky Headhunters released their debut album Pickin' on Nashville in 1989. Today we flashback to 1990 to the albums second single.

We are visiting 16 years in the past today. The Coen Brother's film O Brother, Where Art Thou had a multi-platinum selling soundtrack featuring a song with lead vocals from Dan Tyminski.

This song was the debut single from a guy that changed country music forever. It was from his self titled album "Garth Brooks" released in March of  1989.

This week I am excited to play on of my favorite country artist. Mr. John Anderson! He released this song in August 1992 and the video was one of the best of it's time.

Flash back to 1994! I was one year out of high school. I can't say I remember exactly what I was doing in '94 but I do remember this song from Tracy Byrd. It came from his multi-platinum record "No Ordinary Man".

Flashback time again. Let's go to 1992! Confederate Railroad took this song to the number 2 spot on the charts. It was their highest charting single!

Every Friday at 7:30, we travel back to different time in country music to feature a song that made a few waves. Today's Falshback song takes us back to 1989. I was in the 9th grade at Coffeeville High School with a freshly printed motorcycle license. Times were good.

Today we go back to the 1990's. 1991 to be specific. This debut single from a 6 piece band soared to number 1 on the country charts and made history. The band was the first ever country group to send a debut single to number one.
