Scott Shepherd’s Flashback Friday Song: July 22nd

This week we travel back a little farther than usual. Operator, please connect me to 1982. The Year the world was introduced to E.T. and Micheal Jackson released "Thriller". Today's song was the artist second and final #1 song.

The song was first recorded by Sylvia,  "Nobody" was her second  #1^. The song was so successful, it crossed over to the Billboard Hot 100 charts, and spent 20 weeks on the there. It earned a gold record; and was a Top Five Adult Contemporary hit.

Sylvia took home the ACM award for Top Female Vocalist of 1982, a category for which she was never even nominated by the CMA.
