Stillman College Softball Clinches HBCUAC Regular Season Title
Stillman College has been crowned the 2025 HBCU Athletic Conference (HBCUAC) Regular Season Softball Champions, marking a significant achievement for the program. The Tigers secured the title after sweeping Dillard University in a three-game series this past weekend, finishing with a 12-0 record in the HBCUAC and an overall 23-7 mark.
This victory represents a historic first for Stillman Softball, as it is their first regular season championship since joining the NAIA. The Tigers had previously claimed the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference West Division title in 2015 and shared the SIAC regular season championship with Albany State.

Head Coach Joel Penfield expressed pride in the team's accomplishment, stating, "I'm super proud of our team being regular season champs. That was our first goal." He also emphasized the team's consistent improvement, adding, "We've gotten better every week, and we're looking forward to a great conference tournament."
Leading the charge for Stillman is 2024 NAIA All-American Lauren Haskins, who is batting .528 with 31 RBI, 42 runs scored, seven home runs, and seven triples. Additionally, six other players are hitting above .300, contributing to the team's offensive success.
With a dominant performance in HBCUAC play, outscoring opponents 131-29, Stillman College is poised for a strong finish. The Tigers will host Rust College for a doubleheader tomorrow and will face Oakwood University in an HBCUAC series this weekend.
