“So Freaking Sorry” Thomas Rhett Rescheduled For September
Thomas Rhett's July concert at the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater has been rescheduled for September.
The Tuscaloosa Amphitheater posted the announcement to its Facebook page.
"Due to inclement weather, the show at the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater will now take place on September 8. "
The post featured a video of Thomas Rhett speaking on the show being rescheduled.
"I'm really really sorry but we're not going to be able to do the show tonight due to severe lightning."
Rhett mentioned a curfew in Tuscaloosa prohibits a later show for the evening.
"I know a lot of ya'll has asked if we can go on super late and as much as I would stay up til 1 o'clock in the morning and do this, the curfew in this town is 11:30," Rhett said.
"And all the people that I've spoken to say the weather is not going to clear even by then."
Rhett offered some comfort for fans that have traveled from other states to see the show tonight. "I just feel for you, I'm so sorry but this is an act of God."
If you have tickets to the show, you can hang onto your tickets. They will still be good for the new date in September at the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater.
