The Tuscaloosa County Commission has made an emergency disaster declaration following recent heavy rainfall.  WBRC Fox 6 News reports the commission made the declaration at last night's meeting.

Flooding has caused approximately $2 million in damages throughout Tuscaloosa County. Many culverts have been blown out as a result of storm surge, and several roads have been totally washed out.

The emergency disaster declaration will be Tuscaloosa County's first step in securing the funding to make necessary repairs.
