Rascal Flatts can harmonize like there's no tomorrow, and they showed off their talents with two rousing performances on the CMA Country Christmas stage on Monday night (Nov. 28).

Accompanied by Tennessee's Lee University choir, Voices of Lee, the Flatts' lead singer, Gary LeVox nailed every vocal lick on the Christmas classic "Joy to the World," while his bandmates Joe Don Rooney and Jay DeMarcus provided perfect harmonies. In one word, the performance was snazzy; the choir added a gospel feel, and the brass instruments added pizzazz. Readers can press play above to watch the performance.

Rascal Flatts also performed "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing," completely a cappella, during CMA Country Christmas 2016. Voices of Lee joined them on that song as well, and it truly sounded like angels singing, with Rooney and DeMarcus both taking on brief solos.

The Flatts released a holiday album, The Greatest Gift of All, in October. It features 10 of their favorite Christmas songs and is available for purchase on the band's official website. While DeMarcus, LeVox and Rooney are all songwriters, they didn't include any original music on the project.

“We’ve talked back and forth about it, and for a lot of people, Christmastime, that’s all they want is the classics,” LeVox shares. “But, of course, we put our spin on it, and it’s really exciting.”
