The National Weather Service in Birmingham has removed their southwest counties from the marginal risk category as of 4 am Thursday. Although some counties are in the clear, there are still counties in our listening area that have a lingering low-end threat.
The counties in our listening area that are affected include parts of Walker, Fayette, Tuscaloosa, Lamar, and Pickens counties.
