One Tuscaloosa School Ranked Among State’s Best for Playing Sports
One school in Tuscaloosa is among the best in the state for families with students who play sports, according to aggregated reviews of Alabama institutions.
The rankings come from a platform called Niche, which says it combines hard data like test scores and other performance metrics with user input provided by students, alumni and parents from more than 120,000 public and private schools across the US.
Recently, Stacker compiled a list of the best high schools for sports in Alabama using data from Niche. These rankings factor in parent and student surveys on sports, total high school enrollment, K-12 sports championships, number of sports, and athletic participation rates.
Although heavyweights like Hoover High and Mountain Brook High topped the list, one Tuscaloosa-area school made it into the Top 10 of Stacker's list.
