Even though Old Dominion are currently on the road supporting their current album, Happy Endings, they're already looking forward to their next project.

Phoning in to Taste of Country Nights, the band reveal that they're working on their next album, tinkering around in the studio on new music. "We did go into the studio during this last week to start that process along, a little bit of an experimental process, which turned out to be great," lead singer Matt Ramsay says. "The last album was made sort of in a hurry and we just wanted to take a little bit more time making this one, so we have begun the beginning stages of making the next album."

"Written in the Sand" is the second single off 2017's Happy Endings, and should it go No. 1 like previous hits "Break Up With Him," "Song for Another Time" and "No Such Thing as a Broken Heart," the band already know that alcohol will be involved in the special celebration.

"Well certainly we'll have a celebratory shot," Ramsay reveals.

"We'll probably sound a little more excited than we are right now," the rest of the group chime in, laughing.

"That will be the spontaneous thing," adds Ramsay.

Happy Endings debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart, following the release of the group's breakthrough album Meat and Candy in 2015 that launched them into country stardom. The majority of the Happy Endings Tour takes place outside of the U.S. in Canada, the U.K. and stops in Australia and Ireland. California, Washington, Oregon, Montana and South Dakota are all included in their U.S. dates. The band are on the road with Michael Ray and Brandon Lay through March.

Taste of Country Nights is a syndicated night show which airs on more than 100 radio stations nationwide. Listen to highlights on iTunes or your Android device.
