Okra Chips? Really?

Kimberly brought something awesome into the studio this morning. At first it appeared to be a quart size zip-lock bag of whole frozen okra with "4.00" written in black sharpie on it.  I wondered why she didn't immediately put it in our studio 'fridge. A couple hours in the show, she revealed her reason.

The okra was dehydrated not frozen! Dried whole okra lightly salted - I love okra. Fried, boiled, steamed, stewed, pickled, whatever. So when she offered me the new and unique find, I ate 10 pieces or more.  I have eaten dried apples, bananas, kiwi, you name it and I'm amazed that I haven't seen dried okra before and for $4.00!

Kimberly said she found this treat at Ingram's Fresh Market. (where they serve hand dipped peach Blue-Bell Ice Cream) near Sokol Park.

I don't know if you can find this stuff in grocery stores and I don't care. I'll be making a trip to Ingram's for my own bag
