An entire nation will turn its attention to the solar eclipse today, but Nick Saban remains focused on his gameplan in totality.

The Alabama head coach was asked about Monday's eclipse during his post-scrimmage press conference on Saturday and showed very little interest in the eclipse beyond making glasses available for his players.

“We’ll set it up so if the players want to go out there and get some sunglasses and look at it, I guess they can,” he said. “That’s not something that I’m really that focused on right now. I watch the Weather Channel every day and they already said what it’s going to look like in every city in America. So what’s going to be significant? If you watch the Weather Channel, you can see what it’s going to be like in Portland, Oregon."

Saban appeared on The Dan Patrick Show on Monday and reiterated his opinion on today's rare occurrence.

The Alabama football team will return to the practice field shortly after the eclipse ends to continue preparations for next weekend's season opener.
