
National Hamburger Day: The Best Hamburgers In Tuscaloosa

Today is National Hamburger Day. The burger was invented in New Haven, Connecticut in 1900.
We Americans eat 50 billion burgers a year.
We eat, on average, three hamburgers a week.
McDonald’s sells 75 hamburgers every second! What?! No wonder we Americans are on the fluffy side.
Almost two-thirds of all sandwiches sold are hamburgers.
I usually prefer a big, juicy burger charcoal grilled in the backyard.
I like mine with lettuce and tomato, big kosher pickle, and french fried potatoes. Props to Jimmy Buffet.
Steve & DC 953 Bear radio listeners crowned The Oasis in Cottondale with the best burger title. Oasis is often named the best burger. A close second was Avenue Pub’s hamburger. An honorable mention went to Jack Brown’s Beer & Burger Joint in Tuscaloosa.
