My First Time In Los Angeles, California – In Pictures

Everything I thought I knew about Los Angeles has been proven to be untrue. I love LA and cannot wait to get back! 

Growing up in the South and having never been West past Arkansas, the only scenes of Los Angeles I ever had were from movies and news reports. I figured when I got there I would be uncomfortable anywhere I went and would fear from my safety. I expected to hear sirens all day and night, see gang graffiti everywhere and hear the constant whir of helicopter blades. Not the case.

I'm sure there are other parts of this gigantic city where this happens but luckily, not in any area I went and we covered a lot of area! I was in or went through Glendale, Malibu, Venice, Santa Monica, Silver Lake, Topanga Canyon, Hollywood, Azusa and more and never experienced anything but a beautiful place. Now, traffic, that may be a different story. Imagine McFarland Blvd., all the time, just faster.
