A domestic disturbance response in Moundville Wednesday turned into a brief standoff between police and a subject who had barricaded himself inside his home at The Village in Moundville subdivision.
 
According to The Moundville Times, Police Chief Toby Banks stated the man had barricaded himself inside his home on Hollyberry Lane, located in the neighborhood between highway 69 and Power Loop Road just south of downtown Moundville. Officers were able to establish contact with the man and were eventually able to talk him into surrendering after some 30 minutes.
The subject was arrested and taken to the Hale County Jail. No injuries resulted from the incident.
 
No further information has been released at this time but Moundville PD has promised more details.
