Moundville Police Chief Fired Today

Moundville Police Chief Kenneth Robertson has been fired this afternoon according to city attorney Robert Spence.  Moundville City Police department had been undergoing an audit for record keeping for the last 3 weeks.

Kenneth Robertson was suspended with pay earlier this month when the audit began and today was officially terminated by the city of Moundville.  The past several weeks many Moundville residents posted support for Robertson on social media.

Earlier this month, when asked about his suspension Robertson said, "The worst they are going to find in my office is they’ll probably discover that I’m a man that would much rather be out among the people than filing papers. I probably wasn’t the tidiest person in the world, but they aren’t going to find anything illegal.”
