A Marshall County Alabama woman has been arrested for practicing law without a license. Who needs law school and that difficult bar exam?
Heather Jones appeared in court and reportedly went before a judge to file a motion for the subject she was representing.
Authorities did not reveal whether the lawyer wannabe was related to her “client”, or whether Jones had done this in other cases.
Practicing law without a license is a misdemeanor. The punishment is up to a year in jail.
The fake lawyer was ordered to be drug tested. Probably a good idea.
Heather Jones trial date is set for October 22nd. You have to wonder if Jones will represent herself in court.
