Local Businesses Encouraged to Participate in Summer Job Fair

The annual I.G.N.I.T.E. Summer Job Fair, hosted by West AlabamaWorks, is set to take place on Tuesday, May 13, at the Tuscaloosa Career and Technology Academy. This event anticipates over 300 local students eager to explore summer job opportunities and forge connections with area businesses.
The I.G.N.I.T.E. Summer Job Fair aims to equip students with essential workforce skills while assisting local companies in fulfilling their staffing needs during the bustling summer season. Businesses participating in this event will have the opportunity to interact with motivated high school students, all of whom are actively seeking employment and valuable work-based learning experiences.
Donny Jones, Chief Workforce Officer of The Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama and Executive Director of West AlabamaWorks, emphasized the importance of this initiative: “This is a valuable opportunity for businesses to invest in our future workforce and meet potential employees who are eager to work and learn.”
Local businesses are encouraged to take part in this impactful event to help shape the next generation of professionals while also addressing their short-term staffing requirements.
