Alabama softball's Team 25 took Alabama fans on a fun ride that included an SEC Tournament Championship and a deep run in the Women's College World Series. One of the key members of Team 25, KB Sides, announced after the season that she would not be returning to Tuscaloosa and entered the transfer portal.

Today, Sides announced on her Instagram that she would be staying in the SEC West to play her graduate transfer year with the Arkansas Razorbacks. Sides, a Dora, AL. native started 47 games for the Crimson Tide last season, primarily in right field.

Sides notched a .314 batting average as a senior with 20 RBI and 12 stolen bases in 2021 for the No. 3 ranked team in the nation. She earned NFCA Third Team All-South Region and SEC All-Defensive Team in 2021 and was named to the SEC All-Tournament Team in 2019.

The Crimson Tide will still see Sides next season as she joins an Arkansas Razorback team that finished No. 11 in the NCAA final softball rankings. The Razorbacks finished 40-9 last season and finished second in the SEC regular season. The Crimson Tide defeated Arkansas twice last season in Fayetteville.

Team 25 had the biggest roster in Alabama softball history due to seven super seniors returning to the Tide after the COVID-19 shortened season in 2020. Sides is just one of several athletes to move on from the program after a storied career.
