Five-star Thompson High School edge, Jeremiah Alexander officially signed with the Crimson Tide on Wednesday morning.

The 6'2, 235 lb defensive star is ranked No. 11 nationally overall, the No. 2 defensive end in the nation, and No.1 prospect in the state of Alabama for the top 2022 high schools recruits, according to ESPN 300.

Alexander originally committed to the Tide in March of 2020, and de-committed seven months later, citing that he wanted to focus on his upcoming football season with the Warriors. "I am 100% focused on getting another ring with my brothers," said Alexander via Twitter. "No love lost to my Bama family." Then, he re-committed to the Tide in July of 2021.

Thompson High School head coach Mark Freeman spoke with Bama Central in July 2021 about what makes Alexander so special. "He has great explosion and power," said Freeman. "And to go with all of that, he's a great athlete. You have explosion, leverage, power, athleticism, and he's a smart player. He knows how to attack pulling guards and tackles. He knows how to attack a quarterback and what aiming point to go for. He makes so many of those routine great plays."
