Waddle averaged 18.8 yards per catch thanks to 45 receptions for 848 yards and seven touchdowns. He led all SEC first-year receivers in receptions per game (3.1) and receiving yards per game (56.5) and saw 30 of his catches result in an Alabama first down or touchdown. Waddle added 16 punt returns for 233 yards and one score with his 14.6 yards per return ranking second in the SEC and fifth nationally.
