Armour-Davis was a standout at the NFL Scouting Combine earlier this month. He ran 4.39 in the 40-yard dash, which was tied for sixth-fastest among cornerbacks. At 6-foot-1, 197-pounds, Armour-Davis possesses great size and length. He’s physical at the line of scrimmage with good feet and good hands. Nicknamed the “kick-slide king” by his teammates because of his great technique, Armour-Davis has the tools to succeed at the next level.

The Alabama native made 11 starts for the Crimson Tide last season, totaling 32 tackles, four pass breakups and was tied for the team lead with three interceptions, earning second-team All-SEC honors. He was one of two Power 5 cornerbacks with three-plus interceptions and zero touchdowns allowed in coverage in 2021.

Armour-Davis comes from a long lineage of great defensive backs in Tuscaloosa. The Tide currently has 15 players from the secondary on NFL rosters. Armour-Davis has had the privilege of learning from defensive back guru Nick Saban for the past four seasons.

“One of the main things Saban taught me, just as a football player and a person in general, is preparation,” Armour-Davis said. “He prepares like no one else. And it doesn’t change for the opponent. It doesn’t matter if it’s the second week of the season or the national championship. He’s very intentional with every single thing that he does. And he forces you to be just as prepared as he is, or you’re gonna get left behind. Which is why I think you see a lot of his players be so successful because a lot of his traits tend to rub off on everyone else.”

Armour-Davis worked with “DB Precision” earlier this offseason, a program home to some of the best collegiate and professional defensive backs in the country. Founded by Super Bowl champ Ryan Clark, they raved about their experience working with the Alabama cornerback.

“Working with Jalyn Armour-Davis has been a ton of fun. One of the most intelligent college players we have work with.”
