Jalen Hurts Only Looking Forward as Texas A&M Game Approaches
It would be pretty easy to take a little extra time to celebrate this start to SEC play for Alabama. With two wins by a combined score of 125-3, this is a rare stretch of absolute dominance, but it's never been a part of the process to look back.
Crimson Tide quarterback Jalen Hurts met with the media on Monday and you'd never know what the offense had accomplished so far just by listening to him.
"I'm worried about this week only," Hurts said. "You know, 1-0 every week. Focus on what we can control. That's the past. We did it. It's cool, but what are we going to do this week?"
If Hurts can keep doing what he's been doing, it will be difficult to upset Alabama. The sophomore not only leads the team in passing and rushing, but he's also one of 10 starting quarterbacks in college football that hasn't thrown an interception. That success has helped the Tide beat Vanderbilt, 55-0, and Ole Miss, 66-3, in the past two weeks, but the team is back at work getting ready for Texas A&M.
"We just work really hard in practice. We emphasize executing, emphasizing getting the ball, and just emphasizing playing football and trying to dominate. We're trying to do it again this week. We're going to work really hard this week."
