
18-Year-Old Wounded in Predawn West Tuscaloosa Shooting Saturday
A young man was injured but is expected to survive after he was reportedly shot while in a vehicle in West Tuscaloosa early Saturday.
Captain Marty Sellers, the co-commander of the multi-agency Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, told the Thread that city police were called to respond to reports of a shooting in the area of 24th Street near T. Y. Rogers Avenue.

Sellers said the victim, an 18-year-old male, was shot while inside a vehicle in the area.
Their injuries are not considered life-threatening, Sellers said.
Captain Jack Kennedy, the commander of the VCU, added that no arrests have been made in the case and investigators are still unsure of the motive of the Saturday shooting.
