Woman Shot When Argument Becomes Gunfight in South Tuscaloosa County Wednesday
The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit is investigating after an argument led to a gunfight at a gas station in southern Tuscaloosa County on Wednesday night.
Captain Marty Sellers, the co-commander of the VCU, said sheriff's deputies responded to the 8000 block of Old Marion Road, where a shooting had been reported at the Citgo gas station and convenience store off Bear Creek Road near Hillcrest High School.
The call came in around 5:30 p.m., he said.

Sellers said investigators determined that an adult male and female got into an argument, and both were armed with guns.
They opened fire, and Sellers said both participants exchanged shots. The woman was struck and was treated for an injury that police called non-life-threatening.
Neither party has been criminally charged yet as Sellers said the VCU is still investigating the shooting.
No other details were immediately available Thursday morning.
