Reform Woman Dies After Being Struck by Car Near Elrod Wednesday

A pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle on Highway 82 in Tuscaloosa County Wednesday did not survive her injuries, Alabama State Troopers have confirmed.

Corporal Reginal King, a spokesperson for the Troopers in West Alabama, said the accident happened around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday on U.S. 82 about 11 miles west of Northport, in Tuscaloosa County near Elrod

46-year-old Jennifer S. Fields was a pedestrian when she was struck by a 2017 Honda Accord driven by a 27-year-old Tuscaloosa woman.

King said Fields was critically injured and succumbed to her injuries at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa.

Fields was from Reform, King said.

Nothing further is available as Troopers continue to investigate the deadly accident.
