Free Food Pantry Distribution Coming to Northport Saturday
Families in the Northport area who could use a little extra help putting food on the table have an opportunity to pick up groceries for free this weekend.
New Zion Missionary Baptist Church is hosting a community food pantry distribution on Saturday, August 15, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m.
The distribution will take place at the church, located at 1317 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Northport.
Food will be distributed to community members while supplies last.
The event comes as families across West Alabama are settling into the new school year, a time when groceries, school supplies and other household expenses can quickly add up.
Community food distributions like this one can provide some relief by helping families stretch their grocery budgets and make sure there is food available at home.
Those planning to attend are encouraged to arrive during the scheduled two-hour distribution window, as the flyer notes that supplies are limited.
