The Townsquare Media Weather Center is monitoring incoming weather conditions for strong-to-severe storms later this evening. However, this is a concern for windy conditions ahead of the system.

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a “Wind Advisory.” This alert goes into effect on Sunday, March 15, at 1 p.m. and continues through Monday, March 16, at 1 p.m.

Residents can expect sustained winds from 16 to 25 mph with peak gusts up to 40 mph.

The impacts from these strong winds and gusts could make driving difficult, especially for high-profile vehicles. So, you are encouraged to use extra caution.
