University of Alabama Seeks Community Impact Leader Vice President
The search is underway at The University of Alabama for a new vice president for community impact.
The role is tasked with shaping external engagement; the vice president for community impact leads the University’s strategy for building meaningful partnerships with local communities, statewide leaders, and national organizations.
In close collaboration with academic and administrative leadership, the vice president will connect the University’s strengths to real-world needs, ensuring its efforts create measurable impact across Alabama and beyond.

“Position duties include leading and contributing to efforts that grow philanthropic, local, state, and federal support for UA and UA System initiatives, while working closely with the President’s Office and UA System Government Relations Office to advance priorities at both the state and federal levels,” said the press release.
In addition, “the vice president for community impact partners with the chief financial officer and human resources leadership to ensure future resources and talent are aligned with the University’s long-term enterprise strategy.”
Applications should be submitted by March 14. UA expects to announce its selection for vice president for community impact later this spring.
The vice president for community impact reports to Chad Tindol, senior vice president for partnerships and strategy, and chair of the search committee. Tindol is joined by committee members, including:
