The University of Alabama Habitat for Humanity - UA Habitat Campus Chapter is hosting its second annual Stud-A-Thon fundraiser. They are inviting local businesses and community members to join in for a great cause.

Stud-A-Thon

According to the press release, “For $250, you can sponsor a wooden stud that will be used in the framing of a future Habitat home. Each stud purchased directly supports the construction of safe, affordable housing for families in the Tuscaloosa community.”

Sponsors will have the chance to decorate their “stud” with paint or a written message before it’s installed, provided the design does not compromise the wood’s structural integrity. This gives businesses, families, and organizations a meaningful way to share words of encouragement that will become a permanent part of a future home.

How to Sponsor a Stud

Any business or individual interested in sponsoring a stud should email habitatforhumanity@ua.edu for more details.

Habitat for Humanity is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, so all donations are fully tax-deductible. Documentation can be provided upon request.
