TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- The Alabama Crimson Tide fell to the Georgia Bulldogs in Bryant-Denny Stadium on Saturday night in Tuscaloosa, 20-17. It's the Tide's first regular season loss of the 2026 season, and the first time Alabama has lost to Georgia in the regular season since 2007, when Alabama fell to Georgia 26-23 in overtime.

Amid the many failures that happened at Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium, the SEC's embarrassment of an officiating crew was one of them, with several questionable no-calls that could have benefited the Crimson Tide, including a game-changing missed pass interference on a deep shot to Rico Scott down the Alabama sideline on the drive the Crimson Tide needed to score to either extend or win the game.

Alabama falls to 5-1 (3-1) with the three-point loss to Georgia on Saturday night. The Bulldogs advance to 6-0 (4-0) with the win in Tuscaloosa. Alabama will look to rebound after a disappointing loss when it travels to Knoxville, Tennessee, to face the 15th-ranked Volunteers in Neyland Stadium next Saturday, October 17.
