The Alabama Crimson Tide are set to take on the College of Charleston Cougars in Spokane, Washington in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on March 22, 2024. The Crimson Tide are a four-seed in this season's tournament.

"We're happy to be out here. Happy to be in the tournament." said Oats, "First time in school history we've been a 4-seed [or higher] in back-to-back tournaments."

Nate Oats spoke to the media ahead of Alabama's game on Friday night. He highlighted the team's health, specifically Alabama guard Davin Cosby Jr. and center Nick Pringle.

After being seen in a boot earlier, coach Oats confirms that Davin Cosby broke his foot in practice earlier this week, potentially putting an end to his redshirt freshman season.

However, Oats did provide a positive update on Alabama big man Nick Pringle, who was not on the team's flight to Spokane. Oats stated that Pringle was dealing with personal issues and he made the trip today, confirming that Pringle will be available to play tomorrow against Charleston.

Oats also discussed the health of Alabama guards Latrell Wrightsell Jr. and Rylan Griffen, who have both experienced injury the past few weeks. Oats stated, "We'll finally be healthy with both Rylan and Trelly able to play. It's been a while since we've had both of those guys without a minutes restriction."

Wrightsell Jr. and Griffen both being off minutes restriction is huge for Alabama, as the two are both excellent scorers and solid perimeter defenders.
