In-State Edge Sets Commitment Date

In-state class of 2024 edge Jordan Ross has set his commitment date for Aug. 21.

The senior will choose between Texas, Tennessee, Florida, and Alabama.

The Birmingham, Ala., native ranks No. 36 nationally, No. 4 in edges, and No. 5 in the state of Ala., according to 247Sports Composite. 

In 2022, Ross recorded 49 tackles, 16 tackles for loss, and 2.5 sacks for Vestavia Hills High School.

"Displays an explosive first step off the line of scrimmage and flashes outstanding initial foot and body quickness at the point of attack. Fluid athlete. Shows the ability to bend the edge and possesses good burst to close ability. Demonstrates good lateral change of direction ability and exhibits the ability to play in space both on the line of scrimmage and lined up as an off-ball linebacker," said national recruiting analyst for 247Sports Cooper Petagna.

According to the On3Sports Recruiting Prediction Machine, Tennessee is the favorite to land the prospect with a 29% chance.
