TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The Crimson Tide dismantled the Mississippi State Bulldogs 100-75 on Wednesday night in Coleman Coliseum, thanks to a near-historic three-point shooting night. Alabama made 16 three-pointers in the first half, led by freshman forward Amari Allen, who was five-for-five from deep in the first half. On a night the Crimson Tide was without Labaron Philon, who averages 21.3 points per game for head coach Nate Oats and Alabama, the Tide needed to find offensive output from other areas.

That materialized in five players scoring in double figures, again led by Amari Allen, who scored the second-most points in his career (23) against the Bulldogs. Alabama junior guard Aden Holloway also had a strong performance, notching his second-career double-double with 16 points and tying his career-high 10 assists. Nine Alabama players attempted a three-point shot on Wednesday, with eight players making at least one. In addition to his double-double, Holloway was also the Tide's leading rebounder with seven boards against Mississippi State.
The Tide shot a staggering 59.3% from three-point range against Mississippi State, and while it drastically cooled in the second half, Alabama still shot a respectable 44% from three-point range on the night, making the second-most threes ever in an SEC game (22). The Crimson Tide tied its own record with the 22 threes, and was one short of the all-time record in a single game in the SEC, which Alabama scored in a 2021 matchup with the LSU Tigers.
