Anticipation is rising across the south as one of the more loaded slates of college football action is set to take place on Saturday, September 27th. One matchup, however, stands tall above the rest. That matchup is the highly anticipated rematch of last year's absolute thriller on the grass of Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium between the Georgia Bulldogs and the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Alabama took the 'W' last year, edging out a 41-34 victory off the back of several legendary performances/moments. Those include Jalen Milroe's 491 total yard career game, Ryan Williams' famed 75-yard touchdown catch and run, and Zabien Brown's clutch int to seal the deal.

This year, however, the game is under much different circumstances, especially for Alabama, as not only do they have a new quarterback, but a new offense to go along with him.

On Wednesday's latest edition of the 'Hey Coach' show, coach Kalen DeBoer was asked about Ty Simpson, and what he's seen from him growth-wise this year, as well as how his "athletic growth" could give Alabama an edge on Saturday.

"As far as growth, I can't say it's a surprise; it's what I hoped for. Ty's growth that we've seen from week one to week two and now three, you really saw that jump heavily. And that should be for your team, but also especially for your quarterback. He put so much work into it, cleaning up the little things he could've done better... You know it's gonna happen." He also referenced the "cohesion and trust" that Simpson is building with the offense.

Despite the loss, Ty Simpson looked raw but ready to handle the load at Alabama. He finished week one with 250+ yards and two touchdowns. All he's done since then is get better. Over his last two games, Simpson has been lethally efficient, going 41-46 for 608 yards and 7 passing touchdowns, while leading the offense through struggles in the run game.

If Alabama wants to leave Athens with a victory, Simpson will have to play some of his best ball all season, but if the schedule up until now is any indication, the 'Ty-eisman' campaign could pick up a lot of steam heading into October.
