Former Alabama Offensive Line Coach Chris Kapilovic Joins Auburn Tigers
The Alabama Crimson Tide will see a familiar face when the Auburn Tigers come to Tuscaloosa for the Iron Bowl in November after former Alabama offensive line coach Chris Kapilovic was hired as an offensive analyst for the Tigers.

Kapilovic spent two seasons in Tuscaloosa with Alabama as the Crimson Tide's offensive line coach. In 2024, Alabama's offensive line allowed 24 total sacks and paved the way on the ground for 2,260 rushing yards, averaging 4.6 yards per carry, and 41 touchdowns. However, Alabama's offensive line regressed in 2025, allowing 32 sacks. Alabama's offense rushed for just 1,562 yards during the season, averaging 3.4 yards per carry, and 21 touchdowns. Alabama's leading rusher in 2024 was quarterback Jalen Milroe with 726 yards and 20 rushing touchdowns. Meanwhile, Alabama's leading rusher in 2025 was senior running back Jam Miller with 504 yards and three scores.
Alabama had the 15th-ranked rushing offense in the SEC in 2025, averaging 104.1 yards per game. The worst rushing offense in the SEC, LSU, rushed for 104 yards per game. The Crimson Tide rushed the ball well against ULM and Eastern Illinois, with 212 yards and three scores against the Warhawks and 269 yards and eight scores against the Panthers. Against Power Four opponents, Alabama averaged 83.1 rushing yards per game.
Kapilovic was fired on January 23, with Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer telling reporters on January 29, "It became apparent to me what direction I was probably looking to go to as the week went on."
The Tide replaced Kapilovic with former Oregon Ducks, Pittsburgh Steelers, and New England Patriots offensive line coach Adrian Klemm.
