Alabama Volleyball Wins Season Opener

The Alabama Crimson Tide volleyball team defeated Mississippi Valley State 3-0 on Friday afternoon to open its season.

The Crimson Tide dominated from the get-go, winning the opening set 25-8, the second set 25-10, and the third set 25-14.

Micah Gryniewicz led the team in kills (eight), Victoria Schmer led in aces (six), Alyiah Wells led in blocks (two), Callie Kieffer led in assists (19), and Sydney Gholson led in digs (six).

The Alabama volleyball team hosts Saint Louis on Friday, Aug. 25, 2023, at 7 p.m. CT in the second game of the Crimson Tide Invitational.
