Alabama Defensive Back Lands on Walter Camp Award Watch List

Alabama football defensive back Kool-Aid McKinstry landed on the 2023 Walter Camp Award Watch List.

The junior was one of 45 players to be added to the preseason list.

In two seasons for the Crismon Tide, McKinstry has recorded 60 total tackles (37 solo, 23 assisted), three tackles for loss for 29 yards, two sacks for 35 yards, 18 passes defended, two interceptions, and 21 punt returns for 321 yards.

Alabama has had three Walter Camp Player of the Year winners in the award's history, Derrick Henry is 2015, Tua Tagovailoa in 2018, and DeVonta Smith in 2020.
