Iron Bowl 2025: Why Auburn Believes They’ll Beat Alabama
Auburn Claims National Titles
The University of Auburn recently made headlines claiming National Championships from years ago. "For too long, Auburn has chosen a humble approach to our program’s storied history," said Auburn athletic director John Cohen, according to On3.
The new titles Auburn has claimed include the 1910, 1914, 1958, and 2004 seasons. Could this recent title claim be because they feel another happening in 2025?
Cam Newton
Fifteen years after leading the Tigers to a BCS championship, Auburn has decided to retire Newton's No.2 jersey. It will take place on Saturday, Oct. 11, when the Tigers host Georgia at Jordan-Hare Stadium. Why decide to retire his jersey this year? Are the Tigers just very confident and want to stay in the headlines this season?
Jordan-Hare Stadium
In the 2025 season, the Crimson Tide will play the Iron Bowl as the away team inside Jordan-Hare Stadium. It always seems to be something weird happening when we play at Jordan-Hare.
Most recently, the "Grave Digger" play back in 2023.
4th & Goal with 43 seconds left in the game, and the Crimson Tide was down against the Tigers by 4. With a Hail Mary play to the endzone, we scored and won the game! Great suspense, but WHY was that game even close? These are the worries of playing inside Jordan-Hare.
