How Many Fans Will Be Allowed In Bryant-Denny?

The Alabama football season is scheduled to start in 59 days in Arlington, Texas against the USC Trojans. The following week the Crimson Tide is scheduled to open up its home season against the Georgia State Panthers in Bryant-Denny Stadium. Many fans have been wondering how many fans will be allowed to attend contests this fall in Tuscaloosa.

The Baltimore Ravens announced today that all season tickets will be deferred from the 2020 season until the 2021, more importantly the Ravens announced announced they will allow approximately 14,000 fans into M&T Bank Stadium. M&T Bank Stadium's capacity is listed at 71,008. Should the Ravens allow 14,000 fans that would put the professional team at 19.7% capacity.

Bryant-Denny Stadium's listed capacity is 101,821, at 19.7% capacity that would allow 20,058 fans into the stadium in the upcoming season.

South Carolina's Athletic Director Ray Tanner, recently told 107.5 The Game in Columbia, South Carolina that he is expecting football to happen this fall but with limited capacity. He estimated that 15,000 fans would be allowed to attend games at Williams-Brice stadium. The official capacity at Williams-Brice is listed at 80,250 and with Tanner's estimate today of 15,000-20,000 fans South Carolina is looking at 18-25% capacity.

Recently Las Vegas released odds on how many fans will be allowed into several premiere college football venues. The gambling capital of the world set the over/under for average fans in Bryant-Denny Stadium at 43,470 for the 2020 season or roughly 43% capacity.

Alabama fans and gamblers can use the information disclosed by the Baltimore Ravens and the South Carolina Gamecocks today to create an educated guess as to how many fans will be allowed into Bryant-Denny Stadium this fall.
