A fan-favorite Tuscaloosa tradition is back. The City of Tuscaloosa’s Holidays on the Plaza, presented by Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa, returns, complete with its festive seasonal ice-skating rink.

The outdoor ice-skating rink at Government Plaza in Downtown Tuscaloosa will open on Monday, November 24, and remain open until Thursday, January 1, 2026.

It is a perfect spot to enjoy the holiday season amid the beautiful backdrop of Tuscaloosa's One Place Tinsel Trail.

According to the press release, “Birthday and corporate party rental packages are available now.” Click here to “book a private party and fill out an event request form.”

Holidays on the Plaza is free to attend, and skate passes are available for those who want to hit the ice. “Tickets purchased are good for any day of the season and can only be purchased on site.”
