Former President Donald J. Trump Visited Alabama Over the Weekend
Election season is getting underway, with Republican candidates doing their best to win the nomination to face current President Joe Biden in 2024. Former President and current GOP front-runner Donald Trump visited Alabama this weekend and spoke to a sell-out crowd in Montgomery.

Senator Tommy Tuberville introduced President Trump to the audience Friday night at the summer dinner. As reported by AL.com, Sen. Tuberville called Alabama, “Trump Country" and said Alabamians "need to stand behind him."
"There’s nobody that can get the job done faster and more efficient than Donald Trump,” Tuberville said.
As reported by WTVM, Alabama GOP Charmian John Wahl said that he believes Trump is a very loved candidate in the state - meaning many of his supporters feel the criminal indictments filed against him are being used as a political tool to destroy his campaign and to keep him from running for re-election.
President Trump addressed his indictments during his speech, calling them “a badge of honor.” He also discussed the other Republican candidates seeking nomination and his thoughts on the current administration.
The Alabama Republican Party sold various packages for attending the summer dinner. Prices ranged from $150, up to several thousands of dollars.
The last time President Trump was in Alabama was in 2021.
