We were so amused by a food hack that we decided to put it to the test.

Can you really make delicious mash potatoes using potato chips? This “crime against food” seemed too good to be true. If you think about it, a potato chip is basically a dehydrated slice of a potato, the key ingredient in mashed potatoes.

I consider myself a mashed potato expert, I love them all, from bacon to ranch, and let me tell you this hack blew my mind. It's fast, easy, and surprisingly tastes like the real deal. The beauty of this recipe is that you can add whatever you want to the chips to make them have your preferred flavor.

Now I am not saying that I would make these for thanksgiving dinner, but when you in a hurry, and don't feel like peeling the potatoes, this is a super quick and easy way to feed that craving.

Simply boil water, add a family-sized bag of potato chips, stir & stir or mash & mash, add a little milk & butter, and you get mash potatoes! No really.

Are these potato chip “mash potatoes” better than instant mash potatoes in a box? You will have to decide for yourself. But as far as I am concerned, they are way better than instant mash, mostly because it doesn't have as much of that artificial flavor. That's a win in my book all day. Let us know your thoughts.

CAUTION: Don't touch the boiling water with your bare hands as Audio Bob did, it's HOT!
