The one thing that we all enjoy during summer in Alabama, is you know, you scream, we scream, we all scream for ice cream!

I always keep at least 2 pints or cartons of ice cream in my fridge( mint chocolate chip typically) and a couple of those boxes of ice cream bars to snack on during the heat wave.
Now, a major recall is in place for ice cream bars in Alabama and several other states in addition to Dixie.
More than 100,000 ice cream bars are affected by this recall which is in place because of the threat of listeria contamination.

The bars are sold by Rich’s Ice Cream and some of the best selling bars include chocolate crunch cake bars and strawberry shortcake bars.
