Druid City Music Festival Sells Out of VIP Passes

VIP ticket packages for the Druid City Music Festival are no longer available for purchase, the event's organizers announced Tuesday.

Barrett Elder, the communications director for Tuscaloosa Tourism & Sports, said $78 General Admission tickets to the 2-day festival are still available, but are selling fast as the massive student populations of the University of Alabama, Stillman College and Shelton State return for the upcoming school year.

TTS CEO Don Staley said while VIP tickets are no longer available for sale, those who attend the festival with General Admission wristbands will still be treated to an immersive experience on the festival grounds inside Government Plaza.

“We strive to ensure that we will be a respected and quality asset to Tuscaloosa and Alabama’s overall music scene," Staley said. "Our lineup is just as diverse as the fan-friendly atmosphere that will be offered. From top to bottom I can’t state enough how incredible this event is going to be!”

Friday’s diverse lineup features blues, soul, rock, classical, bluegrass, and religious with the likes of Smooth Hound Smith, AFTM, Lamont Landers Band, Barbaro, Justin Oliver, Early James & the Latest, Talking Animals, BJ Reed & Company, Matt Jones, Elliott Davis Band, Caroline Shines & the Impulse, Wes Lee, Shawn Byrne, Plato Jones, Chad Smith Band, Farmer’s Daughter, Spoonful James, Henri’s Notions, Caleb Elliott, Meghan McMillian, 4G Band, DJ Roxy, The B-Sides, Alright-Alright-Alright, Rabbit Branch, Cassie Jo & the No Joes, Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra, Druid City Jazz Masters, Diedra The Alabama Blues Queen, Live Music at the Hotel Indigo Lookout, and the Bridge Band.

Saturday’s main stage inside Government Plaza will feature grAystone and local Alabama rockers Lee Bains III & The Glory Fires, and local jam band CBDB. The afternoon will be filled with sounds from soulful Southern Avenue, high energy rockers TAUK, and electronic staples Break Science. Rounding out the evening will be the colorful and funk-driven sounds of Turkuaz, southern rock mainstays Blackberry Smoke, and the legendary Big Boi.
