Woman Arrested For Bringing Contraband Into Alabama Prison

A female was arrested Saturday morning after allegedly attempting to bring contraband into an Alabama prison facility.

Ashleigh Maxwell was arrested with prison contraband and illegal possession of prescription medicine.

Authorities said that contraband was reported during a routine screening. A drug dog alerted prison guards that the prison nurse had contraband.

During a search, officers found Oxycodone pills.

The prison nurse was arrested & taken to the Limestone County Jail.
